The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will suspend the five months strike next week after the union signed a Memorandum of Understanding to that effect with Federal Government on Wednesday...
Technically, the ASUU strike has come to an end as government has finally done the needful...
The Federal Government and the leadership of ASUU led by its President, Dr. Nasir Fagge, has signed the much talked about Memoradum of Understanding on the restructured 2009 Agreement, on Wednesday....



After sending first batch in August this year with 70 Kano indegenes to India for the purpose of studying MBBS and Pharmacy and with the hope of filling the huge gap in the health sector in terms of manpower, also to revitalize the decay education in the state, the Kwansiyya Administration under DR. Rabiu Musa Kself-servicewaso is now set to send another batch....

Following her decision to call off its lingering strike, The University of Portharcourt has moved a step further to show its seriousness in discontinuing with the ASUU strike and has released its academic calender. Here is how it looks like:
Following the Federal Government’s order on resumption of academic activities in all federal universities by the academic staff, the pro-chancellor and chairman of council on behalf of the governing council, has directed as follows:
Academic Activities have begun in Ekiti State University with the announcement by the Management that all fresh students admitted for 2013/2014 should commence registration procedure from Monday, 9th December, 2013.....
The Ebonyi State University, (EBSU) Abakaliki have released the first batch/lists of those admitted into the pre-degree programme that will run for the 2013/2014 academic session....
A bill to amend the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Act yesterday scaled through second reading in the House of Representatives, which seeks to extend the validity of JAMB result from its present one year to three academic years....
JAMB Form 2014-2015: Registration Closing Date, Exam Date, Centre details The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Nigeria Tertiary Institutions through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the 2014/2015 academic session which shall be on Computer Based Test (CBT) with the option of Dual Based Test (DBT) and Paper Pencil Test (PPT).....
